We are opening a new premium Japanese restaurant in Wilmersdorf-Charlottenburg bringing a unique and traditional experience to Berlin. We are looking for someone who has a passion for sake to work in our small restaurant. This person will play a critical role in bringing a friendly and memorable experience to our guests while ensuring the highest levels in professionalism, sanitation and hospitality.


Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on the food and beverage pairing with the Chef and Restaurant Owner
• Helps patrons select food by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, and answering food preparation questions
• Inform guests about the different varieties of sake and advise based on the guests’ personal tastes and food choices
• Manage the storage of opened and unopened bottles of sake and liquors
• Serves guests, cleans and sets up tables

Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the area of food and beverage service
• Positive, friendly and good energy level
• Sake sommelier certification (preferred)
• Fluency in German (C1), English is a plus
• Available to begin February 2021
• Has work visa in EU
