About us:

SSAM Korean BBQ is the premier place for Korean BBQ in Berlin. We strive to provide our customers with an original Korean BBQ experience through authentic and delicious food, welcoming and cozy atmosphere and outstanding customer service. As we are expanding our concept to a second location in Friedrichshain in Q2 2021, we are always on the lookout for talented people to join our team.

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the orderly operation of the restaurant kitchen. His/her responsibilities are to minimize food, labor and operational cost while ensuring a high level of food quality and operational efficiency. She/he ensures that all staff are well trained, the kitchen is in a hygienic, safe and orderly state and that all equipment is well maintained and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

◼Oversees food preparation and food quality in the kitchen
◼Assists in preparing clever and interesting new dishes and constantly add flavor to our food offering
◼Manages inventory and prevents any disruptions caused by inventory stock outs
◼Ensures food, labor and operational costs are minimized and within targets
◼Trains, schedules and manages kitchen members and ensures proper staffing levels
◼Motivates and leads employees
◼Ensures all aspects of hygiene and safety in the kitchen
◼Reports to the office and coordinates responsibilities with the management team
◼Act as a link between the kitchen team and the service manager

Qualifications:

◼Min.3 years work experience in a commercial kitchen
◼With min. 1 years in a leadership role
◼High regard for honesty, integrity and team spirit
◼Attention to detail and passion for food preparation
◼Enjoys coaching people and thrives in an environment where you can make an positive impact on your coworkers & customers
◼You like to grow with a company when they meet your expectations and are committed to constantly improve things
◼Strong culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
◼Excellent leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities:

◼Lead kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high food quality.
◼Manage daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and inventory.
◼Train and mentor staff on cooking methods and safety standards.
◼Collaborate with chefs to create innovative menus.
◼Maintain health and safety regulations.

Working Hours: 10:00-17:00/18:00, 17:00/18:00 - 23:30/00:30

Salary: €2900-3500 (40H)
